Raised by his Mothers on the principles of the Goddess, but not one to believe, Ambrosia longs for the day when he can free himself of faith completely. Rituals of invocation, tales of reincarnation, dimensional coalescence, spirits and the astral plane... he never felt or saw anything during these teachings, and certainly nothing that he would consider proof of the lore, which brought him to the logical conclusion that there is truly nothing else out there--merely works of fiction.
Yet all things change when Mona, a family friend he's never met before, offers to grant his wish and take him far away from there. It's only after arriving in the strange new place and leaving his one true home behind, that he is made to open his eyes.
Either magic exists and the myths are real, or he's lost his mind completely.
It all starts with a girl and a dream...
Time is running out.
The sands fast slip through the hourglass. Can Regina solve the mystery of the voices haunting him? Or will Ambrosia fall victim to the night of thinnest veil, propelled further down the spiral that ends in a complete breakdown of his reality? To provoke the spirit world means to suffer a mind of madness, still the runes foretell a choice to be made...
Ambrosia wakes to find he has survived the night... Or has he?
Honestly, he doesn't know and can't remember how he got in his bed, or any other happenings having transpired since taking the elixir the night before. The world he now finds himself in is one of chaos, being ripped apart by natural disaster, while at home a terror erupts in the Hartland with people gone missing and a new set of grisly murders. To make matters worse, there's something the matter in his mind; constant flashes plague thoughts run amok, making fractured images appear that he can't quite grasp hold of. Lucid dreams won't let him be and follow him around in a house that at times seems itself alive.
Unsure of what to think, Ambrosia seeks out those closest to him: companions who would help, and the solace of a lover’s open arms. She means everything to him, so why does he feel that he just can't hold on? There are still many things he does not yet know, but with every moment he's getting closer to discovering the truth. What answers will he find there appearing on the other side?
His Mothers Four have been keeping a secret...
With the lines between reality and dreams collapsing, Ambrosia learns about a past he can't remember and didn't know was forgotten, while the fragile balance of a planet and a soul is riddled by chaotic events and tragedy. In the fourth installment of the Worlds Beyond Scripture series, our protagonist is off to Europe to meet Regina and discover the meaning of the words haunting him. Will she be able to help solve the mystery? Or will he succumb to the presence following him before he ever reaches her?
